For Cattle

Decoquinate 6% Premix Indications

As an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis caused by Eimeria bovis and E. zuernii in non-ruminating and ruminating calves and cattle.

Direction For Use

The recommended use level is 0.5 mg of Decoquinateper kg of body weight (25 grams of Decoquinateper metric tonne of feed), to be administered daily.

Mixing Directions

Use 417 grams of Decoquinate 6%Premix per metric tonne of complete cattle feed. Ensure thorough dispersion of Decoquinate6% Premix throughout the feed.
For inclusion in a supplement which is to be fed at a rate of 500 grams per head per day, use Decoquinate 6% Premix as shown below. To calculate the inclusion rate for Decoquinate 6% Premix for other weights of cattle or other feeding rates of supplement, use the ratios in the following table.
When fed at a rate of 500 grams per head per day, the above medicated supplement will deliver 0.5 mg/kg of body weight/day to the treated animal.

For Sheep

Decoquinate 6% Premix Indications

As an aid in the prevention of coccidiosis caused by pathogenic Eimeria spp. in lambs fed in confinement.

Direction For Use

Lambs: The recommended use level is 0.5 mg of Decoquinate per kg of body weight.

Mixing Directions

Depending on feed intake level, use 1.67 or 3.34 kg per metric tonne of complete feed to result in a daily dose level of 0.5 mg of Decoquinateper kg body weight. Ensure thorough dispersion of Decoquinate 6% Premix throughout the feed.

Decoquinate 6% Premix Cautions

This product should only be used in lambs infected, or likely to become infected, with Eimeria spp. The use of the product will maintain normal growth under conditions of coccidial challenge but does not improve growth of healthy lambs. Efficacy of Decoquinate treatment during clinical outbreaks of coccidiosis in lambs has not been demonstrated.

For Broiler Chickens

Decoquinate 6% Premix Indications

As an aid in the prevention of caecal and intestinal coccidiosis caused by Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. maxima and E. mivati in broiler chickens.

Direction For Use

The recommended use level is 0.003% (30 grams of Decoquinateper metric tonne of feed).

Mixing Directions

Use 500 grams of Decoquinate 6% Premix per metric tonne of complete broiler feed. Ensure thorough dispersion of Decoquinate 6% Premix throughout the feed.

Feeding Directions

Feed medicated Starter, Grower and Finisher feeds as sole ration from day-old to slaughter.
Cautions
1. Do not use this drug for the treatment of outbreaks of coccidiosis.
2. Consult a veterinarian or poultry pathologist if mortality exceeds 0.5% in a 2 day period.
